How Does Bristol Health Services Ensure Quality Transcription:

Bristol Health Services prides itself on achieving the high levels of quality while remaining a cost effective solution for our clients. Consistent investment in training and IT systems has led the way in meeting our high standards.

All our medical transcriptionists receive extensive in-house training before transcribing for our Doctors without the direct supervision of a Senior Transcriptionist.
Our own control and reporting system, monitors files and quality on a daily basis, highlighting at an early point any issue or queries for resolution.
Most importantly, we have a dedicated Quality Control Department which oversees all aspects of our medical transcription and has access to every process at all levels. Our QC Department is tasked with signing off every transcript before delivery; no file is delivered to our Doctors without review by our QC Department.
Finally, if issues do arise, we have a feedback system in place that notifies the transcriptionist responsible for the report of the error so the mistake is not repeated in the future.
The quality control department’s sole task is to validate and maintain the high level of quality that Bristol has set as a standard for all transcripts.

Billing Rates

The standard medical transcription measurement is calculated as per line.

This 'per line' can however be interpreted in different ways and therefore billing rates can often be deceptive. Some companies quote a low per line price but this can often calculate to 20% higher than our system for the same document.

We calculate our counts using a 65-character line, not as a visual line; that is to say we take the total characters in a file, not inclusive of headers and footers, and divide by 65 to find the actual accurate character content.

We provide a full breakdown of counts and files to all our customers as standard.

This is the most cost effective way to bill our rcustomers. Our customers only pay for what we type and can easily check and verify these counts themselves.

Following a test sample we can establish a per line price for each individual customers/clinic depending on the complexity, volume, turnaround and formatting requirements etc.

Our cost per line is between 0.09c and 0.11c* per 65 Character Line.
*2 – 4 hour Turnaround is available, but at a higher rate.
